Saturday, August 31, 2019, 4:00 pm - 4:00 am
Exhibition Square, 1908 Riddes
La Jeunesse Riddes - La Tzoumaz, the Youth Commission and the Integration Commission are combining their skills to offer Riddish citizens an event that is already shaping up to be colourful: the Intégr'Art'Riddes ! This event will take place at the Fairgrounds on 31 August 2019 from 16:00 to 04:00. It is intended to be friendly and honours the multicultural and multidisciplinary nature of our beautiful village.
During the first part of the day (16h00 - 21h00), foreign communities will discover dishes typical of their countries. Indeed, Spain, Honduras, Portugal, Poland, Peru, Syria and Kurdistan will be honoured. A fixed price will allow the public to taste all these different flavours. This culinary activity is based on meeting and sharing.
The children will not be left out! Inflatable castles will be provided free of charge, as well as two make-up and braid stands. Something to delight our little blond heads!
La Jeunesse Riddes - La Tzoumaz is very active in the life of the village and wishes to take this opportunity to showcase local and Valais artists. She has concocted a program that will leave no one indifferent. From 4pm, Fanny Monnet will share her passion for Zumba in an interactive class with you, the audience! After burning a few calories, it is the folk group "Les Bedjuis" that will highlight the costumes and traditions that make Isérables so original. In particular the wearing of the cradle on the head or on the hood. The programming continues with Gaby Yao, from Côte d'Ivoire, who will offer an interactive dance as only he has the secret! Jasmine Gross has transformed her passion into a profession: she will present you the art of oriental dance from her various shows! The music will take over with two concerts. Led by Georges-Henri Moll, the group "After Silence" plays powerful music that is sometimes aggressive and sometimes melancholic. Then it's the turn of the "BSD" group to surprise you. Their French lyrics are set on a variety of instrumentals, including rock, reggae and hip-hop. Luca Gillioz will make you move your head on his fiery guitar riffs. To finish off on a high note, the brother and sister duo of the Tzoumaz "Thismanthat" will offer you a set based on electronic music while mixing their sounds with other musical genres through which they grew up, hip-hop, rock and the hits of the time.
